Last updated (9/19)

The offseason is certainly a busy time for ECHL teams, which are given the daunting task of building a club nearly from scratch each summer. With every ECHL contract on a year-by-year basis, there is no shortage of player movement from season-to-season.

In order to help you navigate the hectic summer months, we are excited to present the Indy Fuel Player Tracker. On this page you can keep track of important dates to remember from the offseason calendar, see where your favorite players from last year end up, and watch as the 2017-18 Fuel roster is constructed. Check back often, as the Fuel Player Tracker will be updated on a regular basis throughout the summer as key league deadlines are met and contracts are signed.

Key 2017 Offseason Dates:

June 1 – ECHL Protected Lists Due: (View List) Listing a player on their Protected List grants a team exclusive negotiating rights with the player until June 30

June 15 – 2016-17 Season-Ending Rosters Due: (View List) Limited to 20 players. Teams can extend qualifying offers to up to eight players by July 1. Teams do not need to qualify players who sign a contract prior to July 1.

June 16 – First day to qualify or sign players to 2017-18 contracts

June 30 – All qualifying offers due to the league: (View List) If a qualified player has fewer than 260 games of pro experience (or goalies with fewer than 180 games), the team retains that player’s rights for one calendar year. The team retains the rights to qualified veterans through August 1.
