Defenseman Ben Marshall named Fuel Grad of the Month

Providence Bruins defenseman Ben Marshall has been selected as the Marian University Indianapolis Fuel Grad of the Month. After earning his first AHL callup of the season on Nov. 29, the blueliner posted two assists and a +3 rating over 10 games in the month of December.
Currently in his third year as a professional, the 25-year-old Marshall has tallied eight points (2g, 6a) and a +9 rating in 25 total games with Providence over the last two seasons, split between the Bruins and the ECHL's Atlanta Gladiators.
The native of Mahtomedi, Minn. appeared in all 72 games for the Fuel in 2015-16, winning the club's Defenseman of the Year Award after posting 12 goals and 24 assists. The product of the University of Minnesota was also named to the ECHL's All-Rookie Team after his time in Indianapolis.
