Fuel Meet Adirondack in First Game of East Coast Swing
Indy meets the Adirondack Thunder in the first game of a three-game road tripNov 27, 2019
FIRST MEETING: After dropping two games this past weekend, the Fuel turns to a three-game road trip to the East Coast to get back on the winning track. Having lost six games in a row, Indy will be coming into Wednesday night looking for their first win since November 13 where they beat the Kansas City Mavericks at home.
THE MATCHUP: Indy will meet three teams that they have never met in franchise history this weekend, starting with Adirondack on Wednesday. The Thunder have lost three out of their last five games coming into Wednesday but have not met a Central Division team this year. Indy will be looking to turn their fortunes around as Coach Doug Christiansen returns to the division he spent the entire 2018-19 coaching against.
TEAM LEADERS: Having earned a goal and two assists last weekend, Spencer Watson currently holds the team lead in both goals and points, earning eight goals and ten assists in 16 games. Trailing behind Watson has been Alex Krushelnyski, who has appeared in 12 games for the Fuel, earning five goals and 10 assists. Averaging 0.88 points per game and leading the Thunder in points, as well as sitting 5th in the league in assists has been forward Hayden Verbeek, who has earned two goals and 12 assists in 14 games.
IN THE CREASE: Eamon McAdam has backstopped the Thunder for 10 out of 14 games this season, leading the team in both goals-against average and save percentage, putting up a 3.04 GAA and a .904 save percentage. Through the majority of the 2019-20 season, Indy has deployed a pair of goaltenders in Charles Williams and Chase Marchand. Williams has played the majority of the games, appearing in ten games and earning a 3.04 goals-against average and .896 save percentage. Marchand has appeared in eight games this season, winning three of them and registering a 2.85 goals-against average and .894 save percentage.
FUTURE OF GOTHAM: After heading to the Northeast for a three-game road trip against Adirondack, Maine and Worcester, Indy will open the month of December with two, weekday matchups against the Cincinnati Cyclones at Indiana Farmers Coliseum.
